Software Engineer
Client looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for
solving complex problems to join our TA Development Service team.
As a Software Engineer at Client, the candidate would
deliver solutions that align to Transfer Agency business objectives and
technology goals. The ideal candidate possesses experience in the full software
development lifecycle, has demonstrated success in the design, development and
integration of solutions and works well in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
• You’ll be building features to make the business run.
• Supporting multiple production applications, including
fixes and enhancements
• Working with development team members and line of business
stakeholders to provide technical solutions that enable business capabilities
• Provide hands-on technical expertise throughout the
software development lifecycle to ensure clean coding
• Work to deliver innovative technology solutions that
implement best-practices and standards, taking pride in the work you deliver
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues.
Communicate root cause and workaround options to team members and clients.
Going that extra mile to feel the pride of solving sophisticated problems.
• Ability to analyze and document complex systems
• Effectively communicate technical details and solutions to
clients.
• Experience implementing platform migration from legacy
components
• Be an innovator, express support of changes, and be a team
contributor
Key Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years of development experience using
Java/JEE in a production environment
• 3+ yrs. designing and implementing Java based RESTful web
services using Spring or Jersey
• 3+ yrs. Implementing and debugging multi-threaded,
concurrent systems in Java
• 3+ yrs. Web development: Spring MVC, javascript, css,
angular, etc.
• Proficient in SQL and RDBMs: Oracle, Sybase, MS Sql Server
• 3+ yrs. using development and build tools: eclipse, ant,
gradle, SVN, git, Jenkins, Artifactory
• Proficient in UNIX / LINUX
• Experience using JEE application servers: WebLogic,
tomcat, etc.
• Experience with modern development methodologies (Agile,
Kanban, XP, etc.)
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both
written and verbal) and be comfor working with senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information
Technology
• Knowledge of the financial services industry
• Programming experience in PowerBuilder
